Online PTA meeting of I M Sc Mathematics
The Open house was conducted through the online platform of Google Meet on 2nd January 2021 at 07:00 PM due to the prevailing Covid pandemic situation. The meeting started with a silent prayer, which was followed by a welcome address by Smt. Golda Mary Joseph. She gave a brief description about the agenda of the meeting. Then the HOD, Dr. Sabu M C addressed the gathering and informed the general guidelines from the government and UGC for resuming offline classes. Each student along with his/her parents were asked to express their concerns regarding the resumption of offline class. Parents had the opportunity to discuss their ward’s situation and give their suggestions to conduct the offline class. The suggestions given were duly noted. Most of the students showed their willingness to come to college for the offline class. Some parents pointed out the lack of transportation facilities. The meeting winded up at around 8.00 pm.
Online PTA meeting of I B Sc Mathematics
On 8th November 2020, Department of Mathematics of St Albert’s College (Autonomous), Ernakulam, arranged a PTA meeting of First Semester B Sc Mathematics students. The HOD of Mathematics Department, Dr. Sabu M.C., tutor Dr. Sajithamony T M, other faculty members and parents of all students of First Semester B Sc Mathematics took part in the session.
The meeting started at 5.30 p.m. with a silent prayer. This was followed by a short description about the session by Dr. Sabu M C. He invited all the parents to the meeting. Parents and students actively took part in the meeting and shared their concerns. Then the meeting came to an end with a few words of thanks by Dr. Sajithamony T M. Overall, it was a great experience and the event was closed by 6.30 p.m.

A Parent Teachers meeting for II B Sc Mathematics students was arranged through google meet by the Department of Mathematics on Saturday, October 10, 2020. The meeting began at 7.00 pm with a silent prayer, which was followed by a welcome speech by Mrs. Anju M M. Then the HOD, Dr. Sabu M C addressed the gathering and gave a recapitulation of the various activities that were held in the past few months of this semester. The students’ mark list was shown. Each student along with his/her parents was called according to roll numbers. Parents and teachers had a discussion of the student’s overall scholastic and co-scholastic performance. Parents had the opportunity to discuss their ward’s studies and give their suggestions. The suggestions given were duly noted. The teachers gave their own opinions and tips to the parents to help students cope with this situation. The meeting winded up at around 8.00 pm with a photo taken after everyone was asked to switch on their videos.
Online PTA meeting of II M Sc Mathematics
A Parent Teachers meeting for II M Sc Mathematics students was arranged through google meet by the Department of Mathematics on Saturday, October 3, 2020. There were 14 parents who attended the meeting. Ms. Jeema Jose, Tutor of II MSc Mathematics welcomed the teachers and parents. Also she mentioned the objectives of the meeting and presented the attendance and the marks of the students obtained in the first Internal examination. This was followed by a very cordial interactive session between the teachers and parents regarding the performance of the students. The parents gave very positive feedback regarding the teaching and activities provided by the department during this pandemic situation. Ms. Jeema Jose presented a video of student activities and achievements in the last 4 months and delivered a vote of thanks. The meeting concluded at 6.30 pm.
Online PTA meeting of III B Sc Mathematics
The Parent-Teacher Meeting for III B Sc Mathematics was conducted on 26th September 2020 at 6.00 pm. Prof. Divya Mary Daise S, tutor of III B Sc Mathematics was the faculty coordinator for the meeting. She delivered the welcome address and presented the internal marks and attendance percentage of all the students. The parents were then asked to put forward their suggestions and grievances. Some of the parents shared their anxiety about the eye strain and head ache the students are suffering due to the continuous online classes and the related works given to them. Later Dr. Sabu M C and Prof. Jeema Jose talked to the parents about the necessity of eye care routines that are to be followed by the students and about the necessity of monitoring the students by the parents while they are attending these online classes. By the end of the meeting there was a lively interaction between the parents and Prof. Golda Mary Joseph. The meeting came to an end by 7.00 pm. The parents were asked to fill in and submit a Departmental Parent Feedback form in order to evaluate the effectiveness of the online classes. The parents of all the 36 students of III B Sc Mathematics attended the meeting.
