Department at a glance

The Post Graduate Department of English commenced in the year 2006 and offers MA English. It is a self-financing programme that follows the restructured syllabus of Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. Taking advantage of the Autonomous status of the college, we have chosen Elective Papers for the final semester that would enable students to qualify for the National Eligibility Test (NET)/JRF with ease. The Syllabus is also a combination of Conventional and Contemporary literary works so that students are updated with the latest trends in the subject. This is further enhanced by the compulsory Research Project that would give insight into Literary Theory and Analysis. Knowledge rich seminars are conducted for students to imbibe the theoretical and literary advancements with expert talk and deliberations from Indian and International faculties.
