Prof. A.J. PETER MEMORIAL QUIZ COMPETITION
As a part of Albertian Educational Expo Department of Mathematics conducted a quiz competition named “Prof. A.J. Peter Memorial Quiz Competition” for higher secondary school students on 11th January 2020. Head of the department Dr. Sabu M.C. welcomed the gathering and shared his memories about Prof. A.J. Peter, former professor of our department.
Six teams consisting of two members each from different schools participated in the quiz competition. Dr. Sajithamony T.M. explained the rules and regulations to the participants. Prof. Anju M.M. and Prof. Mary Alphonsa I.J. were the quiz masters. There were six rounds – Simple Maths , History ,Albertian expo, Identify the pictures , Identify the mathematician and prizes and medals. After a tough fight Mr. Ashly Xavier and Mr. Romaan William from St. Mary’s HSS, Vallarpadam won the first prize. Mr. Augustine George and Mr. Abel Benstin K. from HSS of Jesus, Kothad won the second prize. Mr. Muhammed Shifas C.S. and Mr. Antony Shahin from DarulUloom HSSwon the third prize. Vice Principal Rev. Fr. John Christopher distributed the cash prizes and certificates to the winners.
