2017-’18

Final year students of 2015-18 batch visited Mithradham Renewable Energy Centre, Aluva on December 19th 2017 and attended a one hour class on Renewable Energy Techniques. This centre is the first fully renewable energy powered educational institution in India dedicated mainly focus on the  promotion of environment safety  and renewable energy.

SOLAR CLASS ROOM

The final year students of B.voc Renewable energy, has made their classroom completely powered under solar energy. As the students have been learning all the theoretical paradigms of solar and other renewable energy sources.. they have successfully applied their theoretical knowledge into practicality in the very classroom they studied. The classroom is now completely powered under independent clean energy with 6 hours of backup provided by batteries. The energy produced is used to power the fans and lights in the classroom. The lights used have been replaced with led tube for energy savings. The battery provided will give back up during non Sunshine hours up to 6 hours. The entire classroom is now independent off grid renewable system.

The college principal Dr. M.L Joseph and Rev. Fr. Antony Arackal, manager, St. Alberts college inaugurated the classroom on Friday ( 27th April).The student team headed by Vijay Upendara and assisted by Ebin Raphael, Josraj T.K , Emmanual Bestin, Jaison George, Harikrishnan where the working hands behind the project.
