Message from Head of Department

Welcome to the Department of Journalism…

Ā  “I still believe that if your aim is to change the world, journalism is a more immediate short-term weapon”(TomĀ Stoppard). We the Department of Journalism strives to achieve a similar perspective among our students, embraced together with compassion. Our efforts have always been to encourage and equip our students from various areas of the society to enrich themselves with facts of the reality along with a tint of fiction in it; thereby introducing English Literature alongside Journalism. We strive hard to impart quality education with an equal mix of field experience to meet national and global challenges through our departments. Our ultimate aim is to enable our students to become informed citizens and leaders of their profession, we encourage them to participate in co-curricular, extracurricular, and extension activities. We believe in giving exposure to our students instead of excessive focus on classroom activities. Our department awaits a fruitful journey for years to come.
