The Department of Botany organized an invited talk on the topic Fruits and the Physiology of Fruit Ripening on 18th August, 2020. The programme was graced by the presence of Dr. Harishkumar Madhyastha, Associate Professor, Faculty of Medicine, University of Miyazaki, Japan. The talk was delivered by Dr. J P Patel, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Biology, VP & RPTP Science College, Vallabh Vidhyanagar, Gujarat. A total of 131 candidates had registered for the talk and almost a similar number attended the event. A great majority of the participants were students from different parts of the country. Dr. Anisha S, Assistant Professor, Department of Botany, St. Albert’s College (Autonomous) was the Convenor of the programme.
