As part of the Albertian International Knowledge Summit 2018, the department of Computer Science organized a seminar on Emerging trends in IT on 12 January 2018. The seminar was inaugurated by Prof. Mini Ulanat, Systems Manager, CUSAT. The program started with a prayer song by Ms. Fiona  Ponsake, Semetser-6 student. Prof. Sangeetha J, Head of the Department welcomed the gathering. Dr. M. L. Joseph, Principal, St. Albert’s College delivered the presidential address,  Dr. Titus Correya, Vice Principal delivered felicitation and Prof. Shine Antony, Asst. Professor delivered vote of thanks. Prof. Mini Ulanat spoke about the importance of information technology and various emerging trends in IT.

Talk on High Performance Computing (HPC)

The second section of the seminar was led by Prof. Bijumon T, Asst. Professor, and Govt. Model Engineering College (IHRD). He spoke about High Performance Computing (HPC) and its applications and role in the present scenario.

Talk on Artificial Intelligence (AI)

The third section of the seminar was led by Mr. AnoopBalakrishnan, Co-Founder/CEO, Agrima Infotech India Pvt Ltd, Cochin. He spoke about artificial intelligence (AI). He spoke about various software used for AI and its impact in the business world.

As part of the seminar, the department of Computer Science conducted paper presentations on the various topics under the emerging trends in IT. Prof. Sangeetha J presented a paper on Challenges in Bigdata mining and Prof. Teenu Jose presented a paper on Survey on SDN security mechanisms in the seminar.
