Rhenium 75, an International Webinar Series organized by the Department of Chemistry, St. Albert’s College (Autonomous) 75 was formally inaugurated on 26th August, 2020 by Dr. M K Jayaraj, the Hounarable Vice Chancellor of the University of Calicut. Rhenium being the 75th element of the Periodic Table resembles the 75th year of the journey of the College. The occasion was graced by the presence of Rev. Fr. Jolly John Odathakkal, the vice Chairman of the College and Dr. Nelson Rodrigues, the Principal.
The technical session was led by Dr. K R Krishnadas from the University of Geneva who spoke on Atomically Precise Clusters. He gave a brief outlook into Cluster science, which is an interdisciplinary subject connecting Physics, Chemistry and Material Science. Dr. Rajesh. K, Assistant Professor and Dean, Research, St. Albert’s College (Autonomous) moderated the technical session. Around 190 delegates joined the Webinar.
