WEBIAR ON PROMOTING SUBSTITUTES TO PLASTICS FOR GREEN ENVIRONMENT
The Department of Retail Management, St. Albert’s College (Autonomous), Ernakulam in collaboration with Kollannur Industries conducted a webinar on “Promoting Substitutes To Plastics On Green Environment” on 15th January 2021. The guest speaker for the event was Mr. Bila Sangeeth, Marketing Manager Kollannur Induatries. The event started with the welcome address by the Head of the Department Ms. Amala Mary K S. The speaker for the event Mr. Bila sangeeth introduced the importance of sustainability and development to the student participants and raised various questions on different ways to create a green environment. He also informed the students that Kollannur Industries is more focused on supporting the nature by promoting substitutes to plastics, so that the future generation can also get to breathe fresh air and clean drinking water. The questionnaire session was made more interactive by the students. The session ended with the Vote of Thanks being delivered by student co-ordinator, Abel Joyson, 2nd year student of St. Albert’s College (Autonomous) Ernakulam.
WEBINAR ON CONSUMER RIGHTS
The Department of Retail Management, St. Albert’s College (Autonomous), Ernakulam in collaboration with Kollannur Industaries conducted a webinar on the topic “Consumer Rights” to celebrate the Consumer Rights Day on 15th March 2021. Mr. Ajith Albi, Supply Chain Manager of Kollannur Industries was the guest speaker for the event. The event started with the welcome address by Assistant Professor Ms. Aparna Ayyappan, who also happens to be the programme co-ordinator for the webinar. The speaker for the event, Mr. Ajith Albi, created an awareness among the students regarding their rights as a consumer. He also informed the students’, areas where they can feel cheated as a consumer and how they can fight for their rights. The doubt clearing session at the end was made more interactive by the students with lots of queries being raised on their rights as a consumer. The session ended with the Vote of Thanks by student co-ordinator Cain Manuel, 1st year student of St. Albert;s College (Autonomous) Ernakulam.
