As a part of Albertian knowledge submit 2022, Department of computer science, St. Alberts College (Autonomous) organised an international conference on multidisciplinary research on Digital Transformation in The Age of Covid -19 on 9 March 2022 at 8:00Am via Google Meet. The aim of conducting this programming is to preparing the students for the development of technological skill.

The session was started on time by Ms. Jufin P A, Sem-2 M.Sc CS and Mr. Rohith Muralidharan Sem-2 M.Sc. CS students of computer science department by giving a brief introduction about the goal of the programme and also about the resource person. Then they invited Mr. Amal M R, Assistant professor of Department of Computer Science for a welcome speech. He acknowledged every people gathered on the meet. The presidential address was given by Reverend Father John Christopher, Registrar, St Albert’s College Autonomous. The programme was inaugurated by the Chief guest of the day Dr. Bindu George, Program chair of Computer Science, School of natural and applied sciences, Concordia University, Texas, USA. Later Ms. Neenu kuriakose, AKS Convenor & Asst. Professor, Department of Computer Science  deliverd vote of thanks.

In the Technical session 1 Dr. Bindu George talked about role of big data analytics in the fight against covid-19. She talked about various ways in which data analytics can be integrated with health care sector and how it can be used in the fight against covid-19.

After that Mr. Rohith Muralidharan, M.Sc. first year student of computer science department convey gratitude towards esteemed guest and faculty members.

By 10:00AM paper presentation has started with 2 panels conducted parallelly.  Ms. Jufin P A sem-2 Msc. CS and Mr. Rohith Muralidharan sem-2 Msc.CS hosted the session respectively. Session chairs Dr. shine k George, Associate Professor UC College Aluva, Ms. Jisha Liju Daniel, Assistant Professor Dept. of Computer Science SCMS Cochin, and Ms. Lincy N L, Head of the Department of Computer Science St.Paul’s College, Kalamassery, Ms. Ancy C A, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Computer Science St. Paul’s College, kalamassery respectively chaired panel 1 and panel 2.  In both panel several students from different colleges presented their papers on various topics. Sessions chairs gave the students feedbacks regarding their paper presentations. The objective of the session was to provide the students a platform where they can pitch their ideas before the experienced panels.

By 2:00PM technical session 2 hosted by Mr. Rohith Muralidharan sem-2 Msc. CS. He started by welcoming the resorce person Dr.Balakrishnan S, Professor and Head of the Department of computer science and Business System Sri. Krishna College of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore.

In technical session 2, he delivered a talk on fundamentals of AI based education during covid-19.

Mr. Immanuel Senaij, Sem-2 BSc CS concluded the session 2 by delivering the vote of thanks.

The event came to an end with a validitory fuction by Mr.Rohith Muralidhran inviting Dr.Rajesh Kunjanpillai,Research Dean, St. Albert’s College (Autonomous) for the special address.                                                                   Ms. Jufin P A, M.Sc. first year student of computer science department expressed her gratitude towards the resource person and other faculty members in the department.

The programme came to be an end by 3.00 PM.
