Nirvana 2K22

As  the part of curriculum, Department of social work,  2nd year and 3rd year Bvoc Medical and Psychiatric Social Work students st. Albert’s college Ernakulum organized a Rural Camp based named ‘ Nirvana 2K22’ from August 1 to august 6.

Rural camp being an inevitable part of social work department, the students of 2nd year and 3rd year BVoc Medical and Psychiatric social work implemented a free medical camp in kollengode . The programme organized along with Asrayam Rural Development Society kollenkode, Karuna Medical college hospital chittoor, Janamaithri police kollenkode and Navbharath arts and sports club kollenkode.The camp conducted in 04-08-2022 from 10 am to 1pm. Almost 70 patients participated in the camp and three doctors specialized in ophthalmology and general medicine offered the free service.


2018-’19

I challenge Plastic

On 19-3-2019 as part of observing World Social Work day, the Department of Social Work, St. Albert’s College has organized programme – “I Challenge Plastic” at Thripunithura Hill Palace in association with Suchitwa Mission, YNI-Y and ASSK. The prime concern of the programme was to spread awareness on ill effects of plastic use and to keep surroundings clean.  The Social work students had collected plastic wastes from the surroundings and filled around 20 sacks. The collective participation of each member contributed for the success of the programme. 

PLANT A TREE CHALLENGE

As part of observing Environment Day, the Department of Social Work, St. Albert’s College organized “PLANT A TREE CHALLENGE” on 5th June 2018. Participants were asked to plant tree and upload its picture on their Facebook page and challenge a friend. The programme was inaugurated by Dr. M. L. Joseph, Principle of St. Albert’s College, by planting sapling at St. Albert’s Sports Ground, Kaloor.
