The department of social work of St. Albert’s college conduct an international seminar in associated with albertian knowledge summit 2020.the purpose of the seminar was to bring together the scholar from various fields to promote a discussion on “global intervention models and best practices in social work with women.” the resource persons were (1) Dr .Gritt Hopner (2)Dr Sebastian perumpallil (3) Dr sharadhadevi amma. In addition to this main event the department conducted poster making and group discussion as a competitive item for the invited participants from different social work college. St Albert’s college also conducted an expo in associated with AKS 2020 the inter departments . the social work department also participate in event
Menstrual Hygiene sensitization stall
St. Albert’s college autonomous has organised albertian expo 2020 on January 9 and 11. As a part of albertian expo 2020 , students from department of social work conducted an awareness exhibition about menstrual hygiene . The main aim of this exhibition was to spread the awareness of menstrual hygiene and promote the use of cloth pad. Cloth pads are environment friendly and also reusable. by using cloth pad we can also reduce the large amount of plastics used in sanitary pads and reduce the impact in environment. and At the end of the program we made more people aware about menstrual hygiene and how the use of cloth pad will help them to maintain menstrual hygiene and a better health .

2017-’18
On 11th Decemebr 2017, an event was conducted by the department of Social work in collaboration with Department of Commerce, St Albert’s College (Autonomous). The event was entitled as Talk session on E waste and plastic management.. The programme began with a prayer by followed by Welcome Speech given by Sumayya. The whole programme was coordinated by Akhila Jain. The main objective of the event was to create awareness on E waste management. All the students participated in the programme with much dedication and enthusiasm. The programme came to an end with a vote of thanks delivered , thanking the authorities as well as the organizing team for such a productive day.
Paper Bag Making
On 12th October 2017, an event was conducted by the department of Social work, St Albert’s College (Autonomous). The event was entitled as Paper bag making workshop. The programme began with a prayer. The main objective of the event was to enhance creativity of students. All the students participated in the programme with much dedication and enthusiasm. The programme came to an end with a vote of thanks delivered, thanking the authorities as well as the organizing team for such a productive day.
