The Department of Commerce and Research Centre in association with IEDC and District Industries Centre hosted a webinar series on Budding Entrepreneurs, from 27th August, 2020 to 29th August, 2020. The series comprised of 5 sessions. The webinar series aimed at motivating young minds and inculcating an entrepreneurial taste in them.

The first session of the Webinar series was a talk on  Government Schemes for Self Employment, held on 27th August, 2020. The session was handled by Rajesh K K, Industries Extension Officer from the Dept. Of Industries and Commerce, Kerala.

The second session, Bake n’ Flake was handled by three home baker speakers Ms. Benciya Y, Mrs. Joshmi Abraham and Ms. Teena Thomas who is an alumnus of the college. This session was held on the  28th of August, 2020.

The third session, Exquisite was handled by Ms. Sandra Justin, student of the Department of English, St. Paul’s College, Kalamassery. She shared her story of being a passive entrepreneur in the fields of paper craft and hair band making. The session was held on 28th August, 2020.

The fourth session, El Agua,  was held on 29th August, 2020. The speakers for this session were Mr. Christy Johnson, a student of the department, Mr. Darren Joseph Gonalvez, alumnus of the college and Mr. Mohammed Farooque. The session covered the areas of fish farming such as paduthakulam fish cultivation, guppy cultivation, koodu Krishi and mushroom cultivation.

The fifth session, Crespire, was handled by Ms. Heenu T J and Ms. Devika K D, who is an alumnus of the college. The session was on 28th August, 2020. It covered bottle art, dream catchers, coffee painting and embroidery.
