The Department of Chemistry & Research Centre celebrated World Student’s day on the 15th of October, 2020. By collaborating with JJ Murphy Research Centre, Rubber Park India (P) Limited, the Department created an Online Internship Programme for final year students. JJ Murphy Research Centre, Rubber Park India (P) Limited is the first integrated research and technology research hub based in India and is the first industrial park dedicated to rubber based industries. It is also a complete research and technical services provider for all rubber based industry units. The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Rani Joseph, Professor Emeritus of the Department of Polymer Science and Rubber Technology, Cochin University of Science and Technology. The programme was also attended by Dr. Dileep P, Assistant Director, JJ Murphy Research Centre, Rubber Park India. After the inaugural session, Dr. Rani Joseph gave the first class for the internship program. In her lecture, she briefed the basic idea of polymers and polymerization. All faculty members of the Department of Chemistry and Research Center actively participated in the event.
