The Department of Renewable Energy, St. Albert’s College (Autonomous), Ernakulam organized an intercollegiate Essay writing Competition and Book Review Competition as a part of World Students Day, 2020. The topic for the Essay Writing Competition was “Contribution of Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam to the Nation.” Students also had to write a review about any one of the books written by Dr. A P J. Abdul Kalam. Ms. Srishakthi M, from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore won the First Prize in the Intercollegiate Book Review Competition. Ms. Sangita Shenoy from K.V. Pendharkar College, Mumbai came second and Ms. Joyce Jose from St. Albert’s College (Autonomous) came third. Ms. Steffi Rozario, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce, St. Albert’s College (Autonomous), Ernakulam judged the entries.
Ms. Srishakthi M, from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore came first in the Intercollegiate Essay Writing competition. Mr. Kasiraja Gunasekaran of Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan College of Engineering & Technology, Chennai came second and Ms. Nair Chithra Harinarayanan from Kerala University of Fisheries & Oceanographic Studies (KUFOS), Cochin came third. The entries were judged by Ms. Devika V, Assistant Professor, The Post Graduate Department of English, St. Albert’s College (Autonomous), Ernakulam. Ms. Pearl Antonette Mendez, Assistant Professor and HoD-In-charge coordinated the events and Ms. Amrutha T Babu was the student coordinator for the same.
