The Department of Renewable Energy organized a series of competitions as part of the Independence Day celebrations, 2020. This included an intercollegiate Essay Writing competition, Poster Designing competition, Slogan Making competition and a Craft Making competition.
The theme for the Essay Writing competition was India’s Freedom Struggle – What Iinspired You the Most. Srishakthi M from Tamilnadu Agricultural University secured the first place. Aleena Benny and Arron Augustine Dawarave from St Albert’s College (Autonomous) secured the second and third prizes respectively.
The theme for the Poster Designing competition was Aatmanirbhar Bharat – Self Reliant India. Rushanka Joseph Kottakal from ICLES Motilal Jhunjhunwala College, Vashi bagged the first prize. Amrutha T Babu from St. Albert’s College (Autonomous) and Reshma Surendran from Hill Valley College, Thrikkakara secured the second and third places respectively.
The theme of the Slogan Making competition was Independence Day. Amlin Mendez, Roshna Jomon and Katherine Bose of St. Albert’s College (Autonomous) won the first, second and third prizes respectively.
The theme of the Craft Making competition was Independence Day. Katherine Bose and Riya Roy of St. Albert’s College (Autonomous), Ernakulam secured first and second prizes and Reshma Surendran from Hill Valley College, Thrikkakara bagged the third prize.
The Staff co-ordinators for the events were Ms. Pearl Antonette Mendez and Mr. Antony Raju of the Department of Renewable Energy, St. Albert’s College (Autonomous), Ernakulam.
