*The Department of Physics* and the *Department of Renewable Energy*, St. Albert’s College (Autonomous), Ernakulam, in association with MGNCRE and HEIs is organizing an offline workshop on Rainwater harvesting and water management titled – *”Great Rainwater Harvesting”* on *03rd June, 2022 at Mellano Hall, at 10.00am.*
In connection with World Environment Day, the Department of Physics and the Department of Renewable Energy jointly organized a workshop on rainwater harvesting and water management in association with MGNCRE and HEIs on June 3, 2022, at 10 am. The resource person was Mr. Bijo Xavier, Managing Director, JB Rainwater Harvesting Company, Kalamassery. The programme was conducted at Mellano Hall. The workshop was inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Antony Thoppil, Chairman and Manager, St. Albert’s College (Autonomous), Ernakulam. Dr. Augustine K J, Vice Principal, and Dr. Louie Frobel, Head, Department of Physics were addressed the gathering. In the invited talk ‘Great Rainwater Harvesting’, the speaker described the different rainwater harvesting methods and their importance and benefits. And the team from JB Rainwater Harvesting Company has conducted activities for the students and demonstrated outdoor experiments on groundwater percolation. The students and faculty members from the Department of Physics and Department of Renewable Energy have attended the workshop. Mr. Augustine Sumesh, Department of Physics, and Dr. Jerin Mohan N D, Department of Renewable Energy, were the faculty coordinators, and Ms. Twinkle, Department of Physics, and Mr. Leo Job, Department of Renewable Energy were the student coordinators of the workshop.
