The Department of Renewable Energy, St. Albert’s College (Autonomous), Ernakulam organised a Poster Designing and Essay Writing Competition as a part of celebrating National Energy Conservation Day, 2020. The Competitions was open to both school and college students. The topic for the Essay Writing Competition was ‘Energy Conservation – A Need of the Hour’. Ms. Yashika Sai Vardhan of Sri Veda English Medium High School, Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh won the first place for the Inter school Essay Writing Competition. Ms. Diana Jobi of St. Mary’s College, Thrissur won the first place in the Inter collegiate Essay Writing Competition. Ms. Vennavaram Anusha from St. Francis College for Women, Begumpet, Hyderabad won the second place and Ms. Anagha A.S. won the third place for the same. Ms. Nithya S Menon and Mr. Antony Raju, Assistant Professors, Department of Renewable Energy judged the entries for the Essay writing Competition.
Ms. Rushanka Joseph bagged the first prize for the Intercollegiate Poster Designing Competition. Ms. Ayushi Gupta from DAV College, Haryana secured the second place & Ms. Theressa Paulson from St. Mary’s College, Thrissur won the third place. Ms. Anju Jolly, Assistant Professor, Department of Renewable Energy Management, S B College, Changanassery was the Judge for the Poster Designing Competition. Ms. Pearl Antonette Mendez, Assistant Professor, the Department of Renewable Energy was the Staff coordinator for the programme, and Ms. Faiba K J was the Student coordinator for the same.
