TheDepartment of Chemistry and Research Centre took a major role to raise social awareness after state health department launched the ‘Break the Chain’ campaign. As a precautionary measure to fight the COVID-19 pandemic, and as a commitment to Society, the Department prepared sanitizers and distributed free of cost to the public. The Department faculty prepared a bulk quantity of sanitizers and distributed them to St. Francis Assisi Cathedral, Ernakulam. Dr. Vijay John Gerson  handed over the sanitizer to Fr. Lazar Sinto, Assistant Parish Priest.
