Arm Wrestling Contest

It’s not the will to win that matters—everyone has that. It’ the will to prepare to win that matters.

The inauguration of Arm Wrestling Contest 2022, held on 29 th August 2022, Monday was graced by the presence of Dr. Antony Thoppil, Chairman and Manager, St. Albert’s College (Autonomous), Ernakulam motivating speech the participants to give it their 100 percent. The contest was carried out on the competition platform, under the close supervision of the officials. The enthusiasm and the competitive spirit of the contenders made the competition extremely thrilling, thereby resulting in an exciting finish. The Chief Guest of the Valedictory function, Dr. Antony Thoppil, Chairman and Manager, St. Albert’s College (Autonomous), Ernakulam congratulated all the contestants for their sportsman spirit. The felicitations were rendered by Fr. John Cristopher, Registrar, St. Albert’s College (Autonomous), Ernakulam, Dr. Bijoy V M, Principal, and Dr. Shine Antony, Academic Coordinator, St. Albert’s College (Autonomous), Ernakulam. The faculties of the Department of Fitness Management and Personal Training Ms. Deena Joseph Arakkal, Assistant Professor, HOD In- charge, Mr. Vishnu Raj, Assistant Professor and Mr. Govind Pradeep, Assistant Professor were appreciated for their initiative and whole hearted effort in making this event a successful one. The most deserving candidates bagged the prizes.

Interdepartment Football Competition 2021-’22

Inter departmental football competition was organized by the department of fitness management and personal training on from 9^th March 2022 to 12^th March 2022 for the students. The inaugural ceremony was held at the Sports Campus, Kaloor of the St. Albert’s College (Autonomous), Ernakulam at 08:30 AM and it was inaugurated by Dr. Antony Thoppil, Chairman and Manager, St. Albert’s College (Autonomous), Ernakulam with the presence of Alphonse Josy, football coach, St. Albert’s College (Autonomous), Ernakulam. Various departments of the college have been participated in the tournament and the matches were held at the football field under the supervision of officials.

The tournament held for four consecutive days and at the finals was held on 12^th March 2022 between Department of Fitness Management and Personal Training (B.voc) and Department of Economics (B.A) and Department of Fitness Management and Personal Training. The Department of Fitness Management and Personal Training won the final match with the score 1-0. Third position was secured by the Department of BBA. Mr. A. Hemanth had selected as the best player of the tournament.

The Chief Guest of the Valedictory function, Dr. Antony Thoppil, Chairman and Manager, St. Albert’s College (Autonomous), Ernakulam congratulated all the contestants for their sportsman spirit. Alphonse Josy, football coach, St. Albert’s College (Autonomous), Ernakulam felicitated the event and distributed prize to the winners. Fr. John Cristopher, Registrar, St. Albert’s College (Autonomous), Ernakulam, Dr. Bijoy V M, Principal, St. Albert’s College (Autonomous), Ernakulam, Dr. Sajeev Jose Head of The Physical Education Department and Mr. Anty T.J Assistant Professor, Department of Physical Education were present for the closing ceremony. Mr. Shalom Abraham Jose, faculty coordinator, concluded the closing ceremony by a vote of thanks.
