Dr. C.K Rajan, Senior scientist, IMD, Trivandrum was invited to give a talk on Material Science and Space Science on 10th January 2019.
INTERNATIONAL SPACE WEEK CELEBRATION (OCT 11-13 ,2019)
In association with the International Space Week, the Department of Space Science and Technology organized a three-day celebration from October 11 to 13, 2019 comprising various competitions, talks, exhibitions, etc. for the students across the state. After the inaugural ceremony, Dr. K. Indulekha presented a talk on ‘ Unsolved problems in Astrophysics’.
On the Second Day of the Space Week Celebrations Dr. Joe Jacob, Newmann College, Thodupuzha presented a talk on “Experimental Astronomy”. Dr. Joe talked about the experimental techniques employed to gather data from astronomical objects.
On the third and final day of the International Space Week Celebration the second session was an invited lecture by Dr. C K Rajan, Professor(Retd.), CUSAT on the Climate Change and the possible reasons.
