Musical Quarantine

The COVID-19 lockdown period saw various activities emerge forth from St. Albert’s College, and the musical contest VIP Sa Re Ga Ma Pa was another such contest which brightened up the lockdown days. This was a competition where people could easily participate from their homes, and even those with stage fright would get an opportunity to excel in this event. The recorded songs of the participants were sent to a given number, and these audio files were then posted in the Instagram page of St. Albert’s College. The person whose post bagged the maximum likes emerged as the winner. This event saw more than 150 participants, as it was an opportunity to showcase the hidden talent of many of the participants. In the Student Category, Ancy George emerged as the winner with 1356 likes.  Dr. Nisha Thomji Varghese bagged the prize in the teacher’s category with 766 likes and Sheffin George came first in the Alumni category with 569 likes. This contest and its reception proved the abundance of talent in the Albertian family.
