Cheer Up Society

Department of Logistics Management came up with an innovative social outreach programme named Cheer Up Society in the year 2018. The programmeā€™s aim is to help the needy people in and around us with the amount collected from the students and teachers in our department. The functioning of this programme is as follows:

  1. The students in a batch save 1 rupee per day and at the end of the month, the treasurers in that batch will collect the amount so saved from each student which will be a lump sum amount.
  2. That lump sum amount will be handed over to the faculty treasurer in the department and the same way, the fund is also collected from the department teachers.
  3. The aggregate amount so collected from teachers and students is given to a student volunteer from that batch by picking up the lot.
  4. The selected volunteer has to identify the very needy people in and around their surroundings and the volunteer will be buying groceries or medical kit or donating them the amount as per the circumstance.

Through this programme students as well as teachers are spreading the values of humanity to the society and gives an opportunity to our stakeholders to get into the social needs suffered by the needy people in our community and making them to resolve those problems in their level as they can.

The Cheer Up Society has sensitized the holistic development of students by imparting good values of taking care and helping mentality of poor families.
