2021- Aquaculture

The Research Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture,St.Albert’s College (Autonomous) conducted the parents-teachers meeting (PTA) for II^nd Semester, B.Sc. Aquaculture 2021-2024 Batch, to address the issues and concerns regarding the upcoming external examination. The virtual meeting was held on 8^th June 2022, Wednesday at 7.00 – 8.00 PM using the platform Google Meet. Parents were informed regarding the same by the tutor of the class and details of the same were shared among the students as well. The link for the meeting was shared through email well in advance to ensure maximum participation from the parents.

The meeting started off with a silent prayer followed by a welcome note by Ms. Liya Rose Jenson. The meeting was then presided by Dr Vibin M, Head of the Department. He addressed the parents regarding the upcoming examinations and brief notes on the up-coming semester as well. He initiated a one- on -one talk with every parent/guardian for their valuable feedback and suggestions. Difficulties and issues related to online class, problems faced by the students, effort of teachers and parents were well addressed by faculties Dr Jayachandran

P R and Dr Bindhi S Kumar in their speech.Tutors expressed their concern regarding the low attendance of students during the internal examinations and requested parents to ensure that their ward will appear for internal examinations without fail. Teachers ensured the availability of study materials for upcoming examinations and semester and mentioned that students should strengthen their foundation and should update their knowledge in each subject for future examinations through extra reading.

A vital suggestion from the parents was to carry out an improvement programme for weaker students, details regarding the Remedial and Bridge course programme were provided to the parents by the HoD during this event.

The meeting concluded at 8 PM with the Vote of Thanks proposed by the class representative Ms. Doyal Biju. She expressed gratitude to all the parents who attended the meeting without fail and also extended her gratitude to all the faculties and students for their presence.

2021 – Commercial Aquaculture

First  Parents meeting of 3^rd semester  B. Voc. Commercial Aquaculture and Fish Post-Harvest Technology and Management

2021-2024 Batch held on 21^st  July  Thursday at 12 pm.

The Research Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture, St. Albert’s College (Autonomous) conducted the parents-teachers meeting (PTA) for the II^nd year, B.Voc.Commercial Aquaculture and  Fish Post-Harvest Technology and Management 2021-2024 batch, to discuss the general rules of college (attendance, dress code, ragging, punctuality, identity card, mobile phone). The meeting was held on 21^st July 2022,  at 12  pm in Melano hall.  Parents and teachers interacted about students’ academic progress, and attendance. The members included Fr. John Christopher Vadassery, Registrar, and Dr. Augustine. K.J, Vice -Principal, Academic dean Mr.Shine Antony, HOD in charge of Cicily Mable P.J, Tutor Dr. Ambily. V, Faculties of the department- Assistant professor. Sangamithra. E.r, Mr.Vishnu.R, Dr. Renjithkumar. C.R and Ms.Arunima B, Dr.Sreerenjima G.

The meeting started with a silent prayer followed by a welcome speech by Assistant professor Cicily Mable. P.J (HOD in charge) then addressed the parents regarding the upcoming examinations, the Importance of attendance, and brief notes on the upcoming semester as well.

Dr.Augustine K.J., Vice principal delivered a brief note on the rules and regulations of the college.  Rev.Fr.John Christopher Vadassery, the Registrar, also pointed out the rules and regulations. Mr.Shine Antony, the Academic dean, proposed his suggestions regarding the conduct of internships and OJT. Parents clarified their doubts related to OJT .

The meeting concluded at 1.30 PM with the Vote of Thanks proposed by Asst. Prof. Ms.Sangamitra E.R. expressed her gratitude to all the parents and faculties attended the meeting.

2021 – Industrial Fisheries

The Research Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture, St. Albert’s College (Autonomous) conducted the parents-teachers meeting (PTA) for II^nd year, B.Sc. Industrial Fisheries2021- 2024 Batch, to address the issues and Discuss the 1^st semester results, and also discuss the common rules for students. The meeting was held on 11^th July 2022, Monday at 10.00 am in Emmanuel hall. Parents were informed regarding the same by the tutor of the class and details of the same were shared among the students as well.

The meeting started with a silent prayer followed by a welcome note by Ms. Haritha vs.(Tutor). Then the meeting was presided byMr. Siva Kumar G, Head of the Department. He addressed the parents regarding the upcoming examinations, Importance of attendance and brief notes on the up-coming semester as well. He initiateda one- on -one talk with every parent/guardian for their valuable feedback and suggestions. Difficulties and issues related to online class, problems faced by the students, effort of teachers and parents were well addressed by all faculties.

2020 – Aquaculture

The Research Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture, St. Albert’s College (Autonomous) conducted the parents-teachers meeting (PTA) for III^rd year, B.Voc. Commercial Aquaculture 2020-2023 Batch, to address the issues and Discuss the 1^{st ,}  2^nd  and 3^rd  semester results, and also discuss the common rules for students. The  meeting was held on 16^th July 2022, Saturday at 11.30  am in Melano hall.  Parents were informed regarding the same by the tutor of the class and details of the same were shared among the students as well.

The members included Registrar Fr. John Christopher Vadassery, Vice principal Dr. Augustine. K.J , Academic dean Dr. Shine Antony, HOD in charge Cicily Mable. P.J, Tutor Dr. Ambily.V, Faculties of the department- Assistant professor. Sangamithra. E.r, Vishnu.R, Dr. Renjithkumar. C.R and Arunima.

Vice principal gave a brief lecture on the rules and regulation and Registrar also gave important points regarding the rules of the college and attendance. Academic dean also explained suggestions regarding how to conduct internships, college rules and clarified doubts from the parents.

 Parents asked doubts related to difficulties and issues related to online class, problems faced by the students, effort of teachers and parents were well addressed by all faculties. Finally, PTA president was selected from the parents. Mr. Xavier. T. J .  (Father of Ann Mary Xavier)was selected as PTA president for B.Voc. Commercial Aquaculture fifth semester (2020-2023 admission).

A vital suggestion from the parents was to carry out PTA meeting on each semester, so that they are update with all improvements of students.
