Inauguration of the Commerce Association 2016-‘17
Albertian Commercium Etairia, the commerce association of St. Albert’s college Ernakulam was inaugurated on 21st July 2016 by Dr. VM Victor George, Registrar of KUFOS. The release of emblem and tagline “Grooming towards excellence was done by the principal of the college Dr. M L Joseph. It was followed by the release of two books by the manager of the college Rev. Fr. Antony Arackal, one showing the milestones in the growth of commerce department, ‘Trails of glory- A Departmental Roadmap’ written by Prof. Jose Paul, former H.O.D of the college and the other one on Business Management by faculty of the department Prof. Angel Blossom.
The presidential address was rendered by the asst. manager Rev. Fr. Christy David, Dr.Titus Correya, vice-principal of the college, Mrs. Rosalind Gonzaga, HOD of commerce department, T Pankajakshan, alumni of the college, Ryan Lopez, chairman of A.C.E also addressed the gathering.
Inauguration of the commerce association and release
On 25th of August, 2017, in the presence of the alumni, faculty and the student representatives ‘The Commerce Association’ for the year was inaugurated. The program began at 12pm in the Emmanuel Hall with a melodious prayer song. Describing about the event and the supreme motto of empowering the true potentials of the students Prof. Rosalind Gonzaga, the HOD welcomed the gathering. The presidential address was delivered by Prof. Titus Correya, Vice Principal. He highlighted the need to prick the entrepreneurial skills of every student and appreciated the efforts taken to provide additional training beyond the academic rigor. Mr. Jose Paul, the paragon of creativity and the brain behind the venture gave the inaugural address. He revealed his contentment in the present performance of the department enriched with scintillating faculty and vivid opportunities the students could bag compared to earlier times. He also wished that let their arise many more commerce éclat with multifaceted talents. Thereafter, the program was officially inaugurated by lighting the lamp and the newly elected office bearers took oath.
The souvenir ‘Golden Bliss’ which represents the 50th year old story was released by Rev.Fr Joseph Sherin, the Asst. manager. Felicitations were offered by Rev.Fr.JosephSherin the Asst. manager, Mr. A M Vishwambharan, Mr. Lazar Thomas Mani and Mr. Gilroy Rozario (Former faculties). The program marked its end with a note ofgratitude by Ms. Aswathy the newly elected Vice Chairperson and concluded by national anthem at 1:15 pm.
ALBERTIAN COMMERCIUM ETAIRIA 2K18
Being the inaugural function of the ALBERTIAN COMMERCIUM ETAIRIA, 26th September 2K18, became a very auspicious day for the Department. Prayer being and expansion of total faith the programme began with the blessings of god almighty, with the soothing voice of M.S ASWATHY of 3rd B.COM. The ceremony began off with the welcome address of Head of the Department Dr.Tia Mathews who truly highlighted the true potentials of commerce students and explained the true part of being in commerce association. The Presidential address was delivered by our beloved Principal Dr.M.L.Joseph, a man of distinct vision, who truly boosted up with the ethics necessary for being a best commerce student and how our association be an important part of our college.
Dr.Mendus Jacob, Director of MCA Program of Marian college Kuttikanam, and CEO & MD of IPSR group concerns, Kottayam created a gravity of distinct vision which is required to be introduced in commerce field through his inaugural speech. He pricked towards the need of entrepreneurial skills in this new era, which can be achieved by being a disruptor in virtual media, which ultimately leads towards the flourishment of the venture. His examples involved to revolve our thinking, which influenced to more off from out of the box, rather than tending towards normal plans. It created a thought of innovative skills, which are a necessity in this fast growing world. He wished a very good luck to us, to come up with flying colours.
The most awaiting set of programme, ‘THE OATH TAKING’ ceremony was headed by Prof. Rosalind Gonzaga. The ceremony beautifully created a faith in environment by lighting the candles by Mr. Febin George-former Chairman of the association. Dr.V.S.Sadanandan,Vice Principal of St.Albert’sCollege, truly enlightened us through his warm words by offering felicitation. The Programme marked its end with the note of gratitude by Ms.Ann Martin, the newly elected chairperson of the Association, followed by vote of thanks byProf.Sreelakshmi P.
