The College has also been selected under the FIST scheme of DST and Star College Programme of DBT and was ranked 44th among the top Science Colleges in India according to the Week. St Albert’s College gained international acclaim in 2012 through its recognition as one among the 10 Best Colleges in the World promoting conservation research. The College which stands proudly ranked 97th in India by NIRF is also a member of the International Federation of Catholic Universities. St Albert’s College was nationally accredited with A-Grade, with a CGPA of 3.20 out of 4 in the fourth cycle of NAAC in 2023.

The Curricula developed have relevance to the local/ national/regional/global developmental needs and the various academic programmes are designed for Outcome-Based Education. Syllabus revision is carried out at regular intervals and cross-cutting issues relevant to Gender, Environment and Sustainability, Human Values and Professional Ethics are integrated into the Curriculum.With 30 Undergraduate Programmes, 15 Postgraduate Programmes, 1 Integrated Postgraduate Programme in Statistics and 10 Research Centres leading to PhD, St. Albert’s College (Autonomous) is indeed a front-runner in the field of higher education. Other than the traditional Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programmes, St Albert’s College also offers unique and distinctive Masters Programmes in Space Science Technology, Applied Fisheries and Aquaculture, as well as 14 Vocational Programmes like B. Voc. Commercial Aquaculture, B. Voc. Medical and Psychiatric Social work, B. Voc. Fitness Management and Training, B. Voc. Journalism and Mass Communication, B. Voc.  Travel and Tourism to name a few, which focus on employability, entrepreneurship and skill development. To develop academic and industrial co-operation, advance in joint academic research, conduct international workshops, and exchange scholarly and pedagogical materials, the College has signed MoUs with 55 industries and has collaborations with 10 international universities. The College strengthens its identity by focusing on a close intertwining of teaching and research. The ten research Centres functioning under the various Departments train researchers to start as consumers of knowledge and move on towards becoming knowledge producers.
